Are plantation shutters blackout?
On their own, plantation shutters are not fully blackout, but they significantly reduce light. For complete blackout, our optional Blindscreen add-on ensures 100% light exclusion.
Are plantation shutters energy efficient?
Yes. According to the BBSA, internal plantation shutters can reduce heat loss by up to 28%. With the Blindscreen blackout add-on, this can be increased to up to 40%.
Are plantation shutters easy to clean?
Yes. They require minimal upkeep and can be cleaned with a microfibre cloth, a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment, or a damp cloth for PVC shutters when dealing with stains.
How long do plantation shutters take to install?
